How to break down tasks effectively

Five steps to turn any project into action.

    Add sub-tasks that are small enough to complete in one sitting. A good rule: if a step takes more than 30 minutes, break it down further.

    Don't plan further ahead than necessary. Just start the first step. Starting is the hardest part — once you're moving, momentum builds naturally.

Small enough that you could complete it in a single focus session (25–45 minutes). If you can't see a clear finish line for a step, split it further.
